Gijs van Willigen

Gijs van Willigen is a versatile professional with a strong educational background and diverse work experience in the fields of art direction, design, and creative concept development.

Gijs pursued his higher education at prestigious institutions, including a Master of Science (MSc) in Strategic Product Design from Technische Universiteit Delft, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Design Engineering from the same university.

Furthermore, he also undertook a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano, showcasing his interest and skills in a variety of design disciplines.

With a foundation in VWO with a focus on Natuur en Gezondheid from Niftarlake College, Gijs has a well-rounded academic background that complements his professional endeavors.

Over the course of his career, Gijs has held significant roles such as Art Director at WINK, demonstrating his expertise in leading creative projects and teams.

His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found just edits and Diep Down, where he contributed to the growth and success of these ventures.

Gijs has also been involved in various artistic and creative capacities, having worked as an Artist at L'Atelier in ZeeZout BV and Kreativ Productions V.O.F., showcasing his passion for the arts.

His experience as a Creative Concepter at Kumpany and Strategy & Concept Designer at ZeeZout BV highlights his proficiency in developing innovative and compelling design strategies.

Prior to his creative roles, Gijs gained valuable insights as a Graduate Intern and Medewerker Uitvoering, showcasing his adaptability and willingness to contribute in diverse environments.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Gijs has also dedicated time to coaching and mentoring as a Hockeytrainer/coach at MHC Fletiomare, demonstrating his leadership and teamwork skills outside of the design realm.
