Getachew Engida is a global leader with over 20 years of experience in managing international organizations focused on poverty eradication, peace building, and sustainable development. His expertise spans various areas including rural and agricultural development, water and climate challenges, education, technology and innovation, intercultural dialogue, and good governance. Engida's extensive background includes leadership roles in both the private sector and public service, with a speciality in change management and transformative leadership in diverse settings. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Manchester and an MBA in Strategic Management from City University Business School in London. Engida is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and the Royal Society of Arts. He has held key positions at organizations like Ernst & Young, BOC, Thomson Reuters, International Fund for Agricultural Development, and UNESCO, where he currently serves as Deputy Director-General.
