Gerrit Schoettler is a dedicated researcher focusing on Deep Reinforcement Learning in robot control, currently pursuing a Master's in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Computer Science.
During his time at UC Berkeley, Gerrit's academic interests evolved towards leveraging data-driven machine learning methods to tackle intricate challenges.
His passion for algorithmic enhancements sparked during his Bachelor's Thesis and continues to drive his work today.
Away from academics and research, Gerrit engages in various sports that test his coordination skills such as juggling, penspinning, gymnastics, and competitive dancing.
He recently achieved success by winning the 2018 NAIGC National Gymnastics Championships with UC Berkeley's Men's Club Team in the Open Modified NCAA Division.
