Gerald Hilts

Gerald Hilts is a seasoned professional with over fifteen years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry, primarily with Con-way, an international company. Throughout his tenure, he held various roles such as network engineer, sys admin, developer, and application architect.

In his most recent years at Con-way, Gerald served as the tech lead & team lead for the enterprise web team. He decided to take a break after leaving Con-way to re-energize, focus on coding skills enhancement, and eventually transition to a smaller, more specialized organization.

Gerald describes himself as a 'Jack-of-all-Trades geek' with expertise in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, programming languages (Objective C, C, Ruby, Java, Perl, PHP, Unix shell scripting), web development technologies (HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT), and systems administration across Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms. He also has experience with data modeling, RDBMS administration, network engineering, Python, C++, Visual Basic, and ASP.

Previously, Gerald held key positions including Lead of the Enterprise Web Team at Con-way Inc., Systems Engineer at Stolz Computers Incorporated, and EW/SIGINT Analyst and Russian Linguist in the US Army.
