Dr. George Woods, a distinguished professional, holds a Doctor of Medicine in Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine and studied Bachelors in Psychology, English, and History at Westminster College. He has an illustrious background, being the recipient of various awards and recognitions, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Utah Medical Center in 2018 and the Historical Prize from the University of Milan in July 2019. Dr. Woods is highly involved in international legal and mental health matters; he currently serves as the President-Elect of the International Academy of Law and Mental Health, a position he held twice over the last six years. Previously, he was the Secretary General to the International Academy of Law and Mental Health, playing a significant role during its integration with the Institute of Ethics, Medicine, and Public Health at the Sorbonne, Paris, France.
