    George Port is a seasoned professional with over 27 years of experience at the New York State Police in various capacities including patrol Trooper, field supervisor, research and planning specialist, traffic safety specialist, internal affairs supervisor, and criminal investigations commander. He has also been involved in the statewide law enforcement agency accreditation program as both a team member and a team leader.

    George Port has a strong educational background, having studied at the FBI National Academy, obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on American Government and Politics from Pace University, and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Social Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

    In addition to his extensive tenure at the New York State Police, George Port has also worked as a Correctional Officer and Interim Case Manager at the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He later retired from the NYSP, marking a successful and distinguished career in law enforcement and public service.
