Policy Officer at The Academy of Medical Sciences
George Phillips is a talented individual with a strong educational background in Biology/Biological Sciences from UCL, holding a degree in MSci.
George has gained valuable experience in various organizations, including serving as a Policy Officer at The Academy of Medical Sciences and holding multiple positions at the Wellcome Trust, such as Policy Graduate Trainee, Infections and Immunobiology Graduate Trainee, Research Careers Graduate Trainee, Culture and Society Directorate Graduate Trainee, and Humanities and Social Sciences Funding Graduate Trainee.
Additionally, George has contributed to research projects at The Institute of Healthy Ageing, working with the Nazif Alic lab during the MSci 4th year Research Project and the David Gems lab during the MSci 3rd year Research Project. Furthermore, George has interned at the Institute of Healthy Ageing at UCL.
George's diverse experience also includes working as a Museum Assistant at The Grant Museum of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy, as well as being a Team Member at Welcome Break.
With a passion for policy, research, and academia, George has developed a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of the medical and scientific fields.
