George Aylett

George Aylett is a passionate researcher with a keen interest in politics, contemporary history, left-wing activism, trade unionism, environmentalism, vexillology, and the UK Labour Party.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Politics and International Studies at the University of Leeds, George previously obtained a BA in Politics and an MA in History from the University of Hull.
With a background in administrative and hospitality services, George has experience as a regional organiser for the 'Jeremy Corbyn for Labour Leader' campaign in 2015 and has been actively involved in various political roles, including serving on the Young Labour National Committee and chairing the Hull University Labour Club.
His professional journey includes roles such as Summer In Leeds Ambassador, Confirmation Call Handler, Hospitality and Catering Assistant, and Marketing Helper at different organizations.
George has also been involved in educational outreach as an Education Outreach Fellow and has experience in client services and investment administration roles at Novia Financial Plc.
