Geoffrey Boisi: Investment Banker and Philanthropist
Geoffrey T. Boisi is the chairman of Roundtable Investment Partners and Carleon Capital Partners, two prominent investment firms.34 He has had a long and successful career in investment banking, holding senior positions at Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase.12
Boisi graduated from Boston College in 1969 and earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.12 He began his career at Goldman Sachs in 1971, becoming the youngest partner seven years later.1 He served as a senior general partner and head of global investment banking at Goldman Sachs for 22 years.2
In 2000, Boisi joined JPMorgan Chase as vice chairman, serving as co-CEO of the firm's commercial and investment bank until his retirement in 2003.2 Prior to that, he was founding chairman and senior partner of The Beacon Group, a merger and acquisition advisory and private investment firm acquired by Chase in 2000.2
Boisi is deeply committed to numerous nonprofit organizations. He co-founded MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership in 19892 and has served on the boards of Carnegie Corporation of New York, The Brookings Institution, and Oxford Analytica.12 He has also been involved with the Catholic Church, serving as chairman and founding board member of the National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management.2
Boisi has received numerous awards for his philanthropic work, including the Wharton School's Joseph Wharton Award, the American Red Cross of Greater New York's Humanitarian Award, and the National Catholic Educational Association's Elizabeth Seton Award.2 He was also honored by Pope John Paul II as a Steward of St. Peter.2
