Genevieve Pinto

Genevieve Pinto is a Partner at Renewal Funds, a Vancouver-based impact venture capital firm. She joined the investment team in 2017, where she focuses on investments in consumer products and technology, supporting transactions across the portfolio.12 Before joining Renewal Funds, Genevieve was a Partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, specializing in venture capital, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and capital markets transactions.12

Genevieve holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of British Columbia and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2006.12 She is actively involved in non-profit and community initiatives, serving on the Board of Directors of the BC Women’s Health Foundation and previously as a Director for the YWCA Metro Vancouver.2 Genevieve is also recognized for her contributions to diversity and impact investing, having been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network in 2018.3

In addition to her professional achievements, Genevieve co-founded the Raise Collective, an organization dedicated to supporting women investors and entrepreneurs.2 She is based in Vancouver and enjoys engaging with her community through various initiatives.4
