She has served as the Events & Finance Lead at the University of Michigan Center of Positive Organizations and was formerly employed as the Administrative Lead at the Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship, Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. She started her professional career as a Manager at David J. Stanton & Associates. Genel has focused her efforts on researching the theory and practice of positive organizing and leadership. She is a part of a community of scholars that strives to energize and transform organizations through POS research.
