Gena Pinheiro

Gena Pinheiro is a development and environmental specialist with a passion for sustainability. With a degree in Development Studies and Development Economics from UC Berkeley, Gena has spent her career working with organizations dedicated to environmental education and sustainability. She has worked as a Public Education Specialist for Mercury Education Project at Santa Clara County Environmental Health Department in Household Hazardous Waste, a Paid Intern at City of Gilroy Environmental Programs, and as a Business Development Manager/Owner at SmartRoots- Eco-Friendly Landscape Services. Gena has also studied abroad, where she gained valuable insight into different approaches to environmental education and sustainability.
