Gavin Ding

Gavin Weiguang Ding is a senior researcher and engineer with expertise in deep learning and reinforcement learning, specializing in their applications in finance, robotics, and medical image analysis.

He holds a Master of Applied Science in Medical Image Analysis from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Automation from Beihang University.

Gavin has held key positions in various organizations, including being a Research Team Lead and Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Borealis AI, an Artificial Intelligence Research at Kindred.ai, and a Machine Learning Engineer at Sightline Innovation Inc.

He has also worked as a Machine Learning Research Scientist at the University of Guelph and gained experience as a Research Assistant at both the Medical Image Analysis Lab and the Laboratory for Robotic Vision at SFU.

Furthermore, Gavin has a background in academia, having served as a Teaching Assistant at Beihang University.
