He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, from the Faculty of Architecture, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado in Denver, USA, from the Graduate School of Architecture.

He served as the Global Head of Store Design for Food Retail Hospitality and previously as the Global Head of Format & Renewal, Food Retail Equipment & Hospitality at Marks and Spencer.
