Gavin Lu

Gavin Lu is a highly experienced research and development (R&D) director, boasting almost two decades of experience working for multinational software and internet companies in both technical leadership and project management roles. As well as his 13 years' experience in people management, Lu holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree from the prestigious Tsinghua University. Lu has worked for VMware in a variety of senior roles across several divisions for many years, including director and senior R&D manager positions in teams focused on technology and cloud management, networking, and storage. Before moving to VMware, Lu held management positions at AOL, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, and Qing Star.
