Gavin Appel

Gavin Appel, a tech investor and startup advisor with a wealth of experience, has spent over two decades in the technology industry working in startups, corporates, and venture capital. He was a founding Partner of Square Peg, a venture capital firm, Co-founder of Onestack, a startup advisory firm, and of Hitwise, a venture-backed startup that was acquired for US$240m in 2007 by Experian. At Experian, Gavin was promoted to Senior Vice President on their product and technology executive team, where he led global product innovation and offshore engineering. His experience has led him to found Ignition Lane, a firm that brings the Startup Mindset to business consulting. He also previously served as a Trustee at Telematics Trust, Advisor at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise's Beachhead Program, and as a Co-founder of Lifelounge. Gavin believes that companies that think and operate like world-class technology companies will be the most successful, and encourages businesses to adopt a tech mindset to thrive.
