    Gary Wilkerson is a distinguished tenured professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, with a specialization in the Graduate Athletic Training Education Program since 1999.

    Throughout his career, Gary has gained recognition for his exceptional contributions to the field of Athletic Training, with prestigious honors such as being inducted into the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Hall of Fame in 2016 and receiving the NATA Foundation Medal for Distinguished Research in 2019.

    His academic journey includes earning a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Athletic Training from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Science (MS) in Athletic Training from the University of Arizona, and a B.S. in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University.

    As an expert in the field, Gary Wilkerson's research focuses on innovative methods for clinically identifying subtle perceptual-motor performance deficiencies that can increase the risk of concussion and musculoskeletal injuries.
