Before his role at Motley Fool Ventures, Gary was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of The Motley Fool, contributing significantly to the company's growth and culture. His extensive background includes experience in commercial banking and investment banking, as well as responsibilities in raising private equity and debt, negotiating partnerships, and developing compensation structures.

In addition to his venture capital work, Gary is also an executive coach and strategy consultant at Groove Management, where he has been coaching CEOs and founders since 2017. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree in Mathematical Economics from Brown University. Gary resides in Moraga, California, with his family.12
