He pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Natal. In addition, he completed an I.T. Diploma focusing on COBOL Programming & Systems Analysis, and A-levels in Mathematics & Physics at Christian Brothers College. Gary's career spans various roles in prominent organizations, where he has contributed significantly to the renewable energy field. He has held positions such as Renewable Energy Consultant at Solar Advisor South Africa, Independent Consultant at Tech Ops - Renewable Energy, and Technical Sales Representative at Soventix SA (Pty) Ltd. Gary also served as the Solar Energy Expert at ENEL Energy South Africa, offering TESLA Powerwall & SolarEdge systems. His experience includes roles as Sales and Marketing Manager at maxx-solar energy (South Africa) and General Manager at LAVO Bathroom Concepts and Fuji Image Centre. Gary's diverse background also encompasses management roles in IT, retail, and manufacturing projects. Prior to this, he worked as a Business Investment Analyst at Spectrum Independent Financial Services and Financial Consultant at Liberty Life Insurance Public Company Ltd. Notably, Gary started his career as a trainee Business Broker at Cape Business Brokers and progressed to roles such as Retail Sales Manager at Cameraland Cape Town and Managing Director at Camera Centre Pvt Ltd.
