Gary Cordova is an accomplished professional with over two decades of experience in institutional advancement and development. He currently serves as the Vice President of Advancement at Chaminade University of Honolulu, where he leads a team focused on building authentic relationships with various constituencies to connect them with students, faculty, and academic programs at the University. With a double major in English Language and Literature/Letters and Journalism, Gary studied at the University of Northern Colorado, where he graduated cum laude. He later studied at Stanford University, where he earned a Master of Arts in English/American Literature/Letters from the Wallace Stegner Writing Program.
Prior to his current position, Gary held several leadership roles, including Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Mid-Pacific, Assistant Dean of Development & Ext. Relations (LCB), Senior Regional Development Officer at the University of Oregon - Charles H. Lundquist College of Business, Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant to the President, and Administrative Secretary to the Board of Trustees at Willamette University, Assistant Vice President of Development, Executive Assistant to the President at Pitzer College, and Development Officer, Director of Campaign Communications (MCD) at the University of Chicago.
