Gary Bledsoe
Director of the School of Engineering at Saint Louis University
Gary Bledsoe is a distinguished professional in the field of engineering and biomechanics, with extensive expertise in areas such as Biomaterials, Biomechanics, and Tissue Engineering.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The University of Memphis and a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Currently, Gary leads a team of 32 full-time faculty and six staff at Saint Louis University, where he serves as the Director of the School of Engineering.
With a background that includes roles such as Department Chair of Biomedical Engineering and Program Coordinator of BME at Saint Louis University, Gary has also worked as a Graduate Research Associate at the University of Memphis and as an Engineer at Contel of Virginia, Inc.
His research interests encompass fields like Orthopaedic Trauma constructs, Nitinol based devices for trauma, and Biomechanics-Spine and Trauma fixation.
