Garrett Marquis

Garrett Marquis is the Global Head of External Communications and Chief Communications Officer at BNY Mellon, a leading global financial institution. Marquis has an extensive career in both public service and private sector communications. Before joining BNY Mellon, he served as a Vice President and Senior Advisor to the CEO at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), where he managed global strategic business development initiatives.23 He was also a senior official at the National Security Council (NSC), acting as Chief Spokesperson and Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, where he coordinated communications on national security issues.12

In addition to his corporate roles, Marquis founded and sold Prism Group, a public affairs agency that provided strategic communications services across Europe and the U.S..23 His experience includes advising on high-profile international events such as G7 and G20 summits and managing crisis communications for significant geopolitical issues.23
