Gail Bassin is the Co-CEO of JBS International, Inc.12 She has over 40 years of experience providing professional consulting services to federal, state, and nonprofit clients on public health and social service issues.12
Bassin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Maryland.3
Gail has been a board member of the Professional Services Council (PSC) since 2005 and has served on the Executive Committee.12 She co-chaired the PSC HHS Task Force and participated in the Acquisition Policy Review Committee and Technology Policy Group.1
In 2008, Bassin was named GovCon’s Executive of the Year for companies under $75 million, and in 2009, she was named Washington Business Journal’s CFO of the Year for government contracting firms with revenues under $200 million.12 In 2006, under the leadership of Gail and her co-CEO Jerri Shaw, JBS was named GovCon’s Government Contractor of the Year (in the $25–$75 million category).12
JBS International, Inc. was acquired by Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina (BCBSSC) on October 1, 2017, and continues to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of BCBSSC. Gail continues to serve as co-CEO of JBS.2
