Gagan Chopra

Gagan Chopra is a seasoned technology professional currently serving as a Group Program Manager at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Washington. He has been with Microsoft since 1993, initially working as a Software Architect and Design Engineer for over eight years. During this time, he contributed to the development of key technologies such as the Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC), Microsoft Transaction Server, SQL Server, and the .NET Framework, among others. Since 2002, he has been leading efforts in Bing Ads R&D, focusing on algorithms for intent understanding, prediction systems, ranking, pricing, and marketplace optimizations within Microsoft's advertising ecosystem.12

Chopra holds both a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Iowa State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, where he graduated in 1993.12 Recognized for his expertise in computer science and program management, he has also been featured in alumni events at Iowa State University.23
