Gaby Berkman

Gaby Berkman is a public relations, social media, and communications professional with experience in non-profit organizations, agencies, and in-house corporate communications roles. She has a passion for utilizing open-source technology for the greater good and understanding the impact that technology has on communities. She values collaboration and building deep relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Berkman is a recent blood cancer survivor and believes in the open source way. She studied English, Media and Society, Political Science, and took graphic design courses in the Advancing Education department at San Francisco State University.

Berkman's professional background includes her current role as a Corporate Communications/Marketing Specialist at Red Hat, where she manages the company's social media channels while contributing to the delivery of strategic communications efforts. Berkman has worked as a Senior Account Executive and Account Executive at PAN Communications, an Account Executive at Greenough, and as a Content Developer at Alliance for Climate Education. Prior to her agency work, Berkman was a Public Relations Intern at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, a Content Media Intern at Kelliher Samets Volk, and a Promotions Intern at Higher Ground.
