Gabriela Sedlakova

Gabriela Sedlakova is the Managing Director of a consulting agency in the Czech Republic, specializing in providing comprehensive services to foreigners and expats, catering to both individuals and businesses.

She pursued her education in languages and translation, studying Bilingual Italian-Slovak section at Gymnázium Ladislava Sáru in Bratislava.

Gabriela further expanded her linguistic skills by completing a Master's degree in English & Italian translation and interpretation at Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave.

Her academic journey also led her to undertake an Erasmus Internship at the International Centre for Study and Didactics of Italian and Dialects at Università degli Studi 'Gabriele d'Annunzio' di Chieti.

Additionally, she studied at the Secondary School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators, specializing in Language Interpretation and Translation, and completed an Erasmus Study Stay at Università degli Studi di Trieste.

In terms of professional experience, Gabriela has held the position of Managing Director and Owner at Poliglossa, where she oversees operations related to assisting foreigners and expats in the Czech Republic.

Prior to her current role, she served as a Localization Quality Manager at Expedia, Inc., demonstrating her expertise in ensuring high standards across language adaptations and cultural nuances.

Gabriela also has experience as a Lodging Operations Agent at Expedia, Inc., contributing to the seamless functioning of accommodation services.

Her passion for languages is evident through her previous role as an Italian language teacher at PTK-Echo s.r.o., where she shared her knowledge and skills with others.

Furthermore, Gabriela has been actively engaged in organizational leadership, having served as the President & HR Responsible at Aegee-Bratislava, a students' organization, showcasing her versatile skill set in management and human resources.
