Gabriel Bitton

Gabriel Bitton is a consultant at the Israel Innovation Authority (רשות החדשנות) and holds a Ph.D. in Physics from The Hebrew University. He is an accomplished innovator and entrepreneur with over 16 years of experience in research and development within the medical device sector, particularly focusing on diabetes-related technologies.

Bitton has founded two medical device companies, Insuline Medical and ImagineBit Ltd, and has served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Glucon Medical, where he contributed to the development of devices for diabetic patients. His expertise encompasses both physical and physiological aspects of diabetes management, and he has published numerous papers and holds over 25 patents related to medical devices.12

In addition to his work in the medical field, Bitton has a background in quantum optics, having previously led a research group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he developed skills in simulation and modeling. His passion lies in leading the development of new technologies and products in the medical device and digital health sectors, bringing a wealth of knowledge in research, development, regulation, and clinical studies management to his roles.1
