Freeda Thong

Freeda Thong is a dedicated Speech Pathologist with a diverse background and a strong passion for communication and helping children and families.

Currently working at the social enterprise Youthrive Integrated Therapy Services, Freeda excels in facilitating functional communication skills to enhance daily life experiences.

In addition to her role as a Speech Pathologist, she is the Founder of Ecopads Australia, a social enterprise reflecting her values and dedication to environmental sustainability and equality.

Freeda holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from Australian Catholic University, further augmented by a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies from Griffith University.

Her extensive educational background also includes studies at Calamvale Community College and The University of Queensland.

Throughout her career, she has been involved in various organizations such as BUSHkids, Young Guns Australia, and has held leadership positions in multiple capacities at The University of Queensland.

Her experiences as a Research Scholar, Senior Mentor, and Therapist have honed her skills in communication, leadership, and advocacy for individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
