Frederic Bien

Frederic Bien is an accomplished scholar, entrepreneur, and educator. He holds a B.A. and Masters in Mathematics from Universite Libre de Bruxelles, a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in Quantitative & Computation Finance from Georgia Institute of Technology. At present, he serves as a Lecturer at Georgia Tech's Scheller College of Business.

Previously, Bien has held multiple executive and academic positions. For instance, he was the CEO of Community On Call, AdBuy, Belamo Corp., and Bien Logic Inc. Furthermore, he was the CTO & VP Communities Marketing at Bigstar Entertainment Inc., and the SVP Advanced Media Technology at Turner Broadcasting / Time Warner. Besides, he co-founded (and served as President and VP Media Tech at) BLiNQ Media. During his tenure as an Asst. Professor of Mathematics at Emory University, he earned a reputation as a competent and inspiring educator.

Besides his academic and entrepreneurial roles, Bien has also been involved in non-profit work. He was the President of the Personality Disorders Awareness Network, a commendable initiative dedicated to increasing public understanding of mental health challenges.
