Franklin Lee, a Harvard and Georgetown University alumnus, is a dedicated researcher and social worker with a passion for East Asian studies and anthropology. During his time as a Research Assistant at the R Street Institute, Franklin gained invaluable experience working on various projects and honing his critical thinking and analytical skills. Prior to that, he served as a Paralegal and Immigration Know-Your-Rights Trainer at Lutheran Social Services of New York, where he was responsible for educating immigrants about their legal rights and navigating the complex immigration system. Franklin's educational and professional background has equipped him with an understanding of international political economy and politics, security, and the immigrant experience.
