IT/Telecoms Construction & Commissioning Lead

I work closely with Major Capital Project (MCP) - Project Managers, other MCP IT Coordinators/Managers (Houston) and Base Business IT support teams throughout the project lifecycle to deliver IT systems on time.

Position details :
•	Responsible for execution of IT related functions, including infrastructure, compliance processes and software applications.
•	Develop requirements for the design, procurement, delivery, installation, testing and support of IT Infrastructure and Assets during Phase 3, 4 and during Phase 5 handover.
•	Coordinates the mobilization and demobilization of IT Infrastructure and Assets at Phase 3 and Phase 4 work sites according to contract terms and project requirements.
•	Manages the Information Risk Management (IRM) Compliance Plan to safeguard the project’s information assets.
•	Consults with the in-country Business Unit IT team on the design, delivery and support of the IT Infrastructure and Assets required during installation and hook-up and commissioning (HUC) and final asset turnover.
•	Solid experience in commission of the following systems :
        	Access Control Systems
        	CCTV
        	PAGA
        	Entertainment systems
        	Video Conferencing
        	VHF Radio systems

•	Create, implement, manage and support SharePoint sites for all SASBU MCP’s.
•	Create an evergreen process to manage all MCP IT assets through SharePoint.

MCP IT Support Analyst

•	I started my own company and contracted with Impala Technologies as an IT Specialist.
•	We were active in computer and any IT equipment related sales. We served several loyal 
        clients, running and advising them on all their IT needs, including budgets, support and 
        benefits of new technologies.
•	FK Technology, in conjunction with Impala Technologies started another company called 
        Numbersecure. Numbersecure developed a software system for the Cellular industry, which
        would backup all your cell phone data to the cloud.
•	Signed additional service contracts with the University of Pretoria and numerous other 
        companies to support their IT infrastructure needs.

Business Owner, IT Specialist

The main objective of this job is to administer the network of Pathology to ensure that effective support is delivered to users and 	the clients of the Institute of Pathology and 3 remote sites.

I managed all users and any hardware, software and network related queries. Daily tasks:
Check performance on mainframe (Buffer, CPU, response and Queues.
Check activity on users and jobs.
Monitor all servers and term servers.
Monitoring of backups and database copies.
Monitor disk space and if low I was responsible for purging of old data to an archive segment.
Run integrity test of the database.
Installing network and local printers and pc’s.
Configuring analyzers to interface with the Meditech system.
Automating the printing of reports in specific locations and to fax reports with the use of the Fax box.
