Franco Segarra

Franco Segarra is the Head of Innovation (Director) at Valencia CF, overseeing the Data/Analytics, Digital, and Fan Experience departments to drive fan growth, revenue capture, and operating efficiencies through data-driven insights.

In addition to his role with Valencia CF, Franco teaches in MBA courses at various universities, including LaLiga Business School, ESIC, ESBS, UCH-CEU, UPV, and GSIC. He is also actively involved as a startup advisor, mentor, and investor, and co-founded the VCF Innovation HUB focused on sports tech sector growth.

With over 13 years of experience in tech and business, Franco is a trilingual MBA holder with a vast understanding of global markets gained through international experiences in the USA, UK, France, and Spain. He is an accomplished leadership football executive having completed the 1st FIFA Diploma in Club Management.

Franco's educational background includes a FIFA Diploma in Club Management from Fédération Internationale de Football Association, a Master's degree in AI, Pattern Recognition, and ML from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, and studied courses in Artificial Intelligence and Business Management from prestigious institutions like Stanford University and Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia. His education also spans Computer Science, Information Systems, and Business Administration.

Throughout his career, Franco has held various roles in organizations such as being a former Master in Sports Management Teacher at Máster en Gestión Deportiva UPV, Master in Global Sports Marketing Teacher at LaLiga Business School, and Business and Sport Management Teacher at CEU Cardenal Herrera University. Additionally, he has served as Co-Founder at VCF Innovation Hub, Marketing MBA Lecturer at ESIC Business & Marketing School, and Coordinator & Lecturer in Master in Digital Transformation of Sports Entities at GSIC, among others.

Franco's professional journey includes roles such as Ticketing, Fan Experience & Data/Analytics Manager at Valencia CF, Banking/Finance Analytics Manager at NTT Data, CTO at ehumanlife, Inc., Software Manager at Norauto France, among other IT and data science-related positions in reputed organizations worldwide.
