Francesco pursued his academic journey by earning a PhD in Bioengineering and Bioelectronics from Università degli Studi di Genova and a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.

Throughout his career, Francesco Orabona has held several key positions at esteemed institutions. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at Boston University and has previously worked as an Assistant Professor at both Boston University and Stony Brook University. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise as a Senior Research Scientist at Yahoo Labs, a Research Assistant Professor at Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (TTIC), and a Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Milan and IDIAP Research Institute.

Francesco's academic journey also includes enriching stints as a Visiting Researcher at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Helsinki University of Technology, and University of Genova.
