Forest McBrian

Forest McBrian is renowned for his extensive experience of 8 years guiding in the Cascades and other regions, with a strong background in teaching. He holds the prestigious IFMGA/UIAGM certification as a Mountain Guide and is also certified by the AMGA in Skiing, Rock Climbing, and Alpine Guiding.

Forest McBrian's linguistic versatility is demonstrated through his fluency in French, adding a global dimension to his expertise.

Specializing in guiding and instruction in glaciated mountains, Forest McBrian excels in creating new routes and ski traverses in the challenging terrain of the Washington Cascades.

Forest McBrian pursued his undergraduate studies in English and French at The Evergreen State College.

Forest McBrian has held key roles in prominent organizations, including his current position as the Education and Operations Manager at The Northwest Avalanche Center. Previously, he has served as the Owner and Guide at Borealis Mountain Guides, a Mountain Guide at Pro Guiding Service, Senior Guide and Instructor at The American Alpine Institute, as well as a Staff Trainer at Outward Bound.
