Fola Akinola is a multi-disciplinary senior designer with a background in CG generalist work, visual design, and effects editing for broadcast graphics, journalism interactives, and documentary films.
With a strong passion for creating innovative solutions to intricate problems, Fola believes in using art to make complex concepts engaging and accessible.
His skillset includes storyboard and illustration, concept and character design, 3D modeling, character animation, VFX production, compositing, video editing, web design, and front-end development.
Fola Akinola holds a BFA in Digital Media and Visual Arts from Cornell University and has also studied User Experience Design at General Assembly.
His professional experience includes roles as a CG Lead Artist at Taylor James Ltd, Principal and Animator at Nomad Motion, Senior Designer & Visual Effects Editor at Lost Bird, as well as freelance positions at various companies such as Bombastic Inc, Absolute Post, and Galaxy 61.
He has expertise in rigging, UV-mapping, lighting, texturing, rendering, VFX cloth, fluid, and particle systems.
