Florian Berlinger
Research Fellow at Harvard University
Dr. Florian Berlinger spent his childhood in Wil SG, Switzerland, indulging in playing with remote-controlled cars, ships, helicopters, and airplanes in his leisure time. Driven by his fascination for electronic devices, he pursued a degree in mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich. Currently, Florian's passion lies in constructing his own robots. He is particularly enthusiastic about autonomous mobile systems endowed with sufficient intelligence to carry out missions independently. Leveraging a blend of purposeful design, sensors, and control software, he has successfully crafted flying, swimming, and land-based robots. Presently, Florian serves as a Research Fellow at Harvard University within the Self-organizing Systems Research Group. His research focuses on studying the coordination of collectives comprising multiple robots while also developing a platform for testing algorithms for underwater swarm robots.
