Flora Huang
Founder at Stronger Families and Communities
Flora Huang, an Academic Consultant and Advisory Board Member at Elysian Trust, is a dedicated advocate for gifted education and school reform. She combines her professional background as a biology teacher at Stuyvesant High School in New York City with her personal experience as a parent of a gifted child to develop innovative programs aimed at supporting underrepresented students. Her initiatives include preparing middle school students for the Specialized High School Admissions Test and advocating for equity and inclusion in gifted programs, particularly for Twice and Thrice Exceptional students.
Flora holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Community Health Education from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University. She also founded "Stronger Families and Communities" in 2019, which integrates her roles as an educator and social service program manager. At Elysian Trust, she contributes her expertise to advancing the organization’s mission of supporting gifted and neurodivergent individuals, especially from underserved communities, by addressing their academic, social-emotional, and developmental needs .12
