Flavia Matuzawa
Flavia Matuzawa is a skilled educator with a diverse background in technology and design. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the State University of Maringá and a Master's degree in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Design and Media at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. With over a decade of experience as a designer and educator, Flavia has collaborated with international organizations to develop online learning materials and open educational resources. Her research interests include educational technology, multimedia production, and instructional design.
Flavia has held several roles in academia, including Coordinator of Information Technology (IT) distance learning courses at UniCesumar, Coordinator of the Informatics (Education) course at the University of Southern Santa Catarina, and Professor of IT courses at Unisul. She has also served as a Collaborating Professor at the State University of Santa Catarina. In her previous position as a Designer Educator at Unisul, Flavia developed and implemented innovative instructional strategies, engaging students with interactive online materials and simulations.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Flavia is an active member of the TIC Extension Project, which applies technology to social and educational goals. She is also passionate about exploring ways to make educational resources more accessible through open educational practices.
