Flame Burgmann is an expert in advanced electron microscopy, specializing in techniques like TEM, SEM, FIB, AFM, XPS/AES, PVD Deposition, and Nanoindentation.

Flame Burgmann holds a PhD in Physics from RMIT University, where they have honed their skills and expertise in the field.

Currently, Flame Burgmann serves as the Node Manager for Microscopy Australia at Monash University, overseeing cutting-edge research and projects in the field of microscopy.

With a rich background in various prestigious organizations, Flame Burgmann has previously been the Manager at RMIT Microscopy and Microanalysis Facility (RMMF), the SEM Manager at Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy, the AFM/XPS Instrument Manager at CSIRO, and a Research Associate at EMU, The University of Sydney. Additionally, they have contributed as the Newsletter Editor at the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Society.
