Fiza Pirani is a journalist, writer, and editor based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a passion for mental health, radical vulnerability, and exploring life's ever-changing nature. Her extensive background in journalism includes contributions to major publications such as The Guardian, Teen Vogue, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Elemental, Gizmodo, and more. Fiza is also the founder of the award-winning immigrant mental health newsletter, Foreign Bodies, which arose from her The Carter Center reporting fellowship in 2018.
Fiza holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Journalism from Emory University, and her professional experience includes serving as editor of AJC Pulse Magazine, contributing writer at Healthline Media, and director of digital strategy at Lifeline Primary Care, among other positions. She is also a former board member of FOCUS, an international agency affiliated with AKDN, and formerly served as project manager at the Aga Khan Foundation USA.
