Firat Isbecer

Firat Isbecer is a prominent entrepreneur and seed investor, known for founding Pozitron and later Commencis, and for his active involvement in the startup community. His entrepreneurial journey began with Pozitron, a mobile software company that excelled in mobile banking, commerce, and digital payments, ultimately leading to its acquisition by Monitise plc in 2014. He then assumed the role of MEA Managing Director at Monitise, spearheading operational enhancements. Post the acquisition of Monitise by Fiserv Inc., Firat founded Commencis in 2018. Commencis, under his leadership, focuses on experience design, software engineering, and cloud technologies, assisting top brands in their digital transformation. Additionally, his contributions as a seed investor in over 60 startups have earned him recognition as Turkey's most active angel investor for consecutive years. Firat Isbecer's educational background includes a Master's degree in Geopolitics from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Galatasaray Üniversitesi, and studies in English language and literature at Robert College in Istanbul.
