Fiorenzo Omenetto

Fiorenzo Omenetto is a prominent figure in the field of engineering and research, with a multi-faceted background that includes notable fellowships and memberships in prestigious organizations. He is a Guggenheim Fellow in 2011 and holds fellow positions at the Optical Society of America, the American Physical Society, the SPIE as a Senior Member, and the National Academy of Inventors. Omenetto's academic journey includes education at Scuola Europea Varese, Università di Pavia, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. With an extensive career, he has served as the Dean for Research at the School of Engineering at Tufts University, a former Frank C. Doble Professor of Engineering at the same institution, and held roles as a staff scientist and J. Robert Oppenheimer Fellow at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Omenetto also earned a PhD from Università di Pavia.
