Fiorella Penaloza has over a decade of experience in higher education, specializing in data management, literacy, research, planning, and assessment, with a focus on student learning outcomes assessment.

Her educational background includes a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Development and Change from Colorado Technical University, a Master of Arts in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology from Queens College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Biological Sciences from Queens College.

Fiorella has held various positions in prestigious organizations such as University of Hawaii-West Oahu, The City College of New York, WASC Senior College and University Commission, Middle States Commission on Higher Education, University of Hawaii at Manoa, University of Hawai‘i System, University of the People, Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City, Higher Learning Commission, Rockhurst University, Cleveland University - Kansas City, Bryant & Stratton College, Park University, Briarcliffe College, and Queensborough Community College.
