Filipe Barbosa

Filipe Barbosa, a Senior Partner and essential leader in the Energy & Materials practice of McKinsey & Company in Houston, is an accomplished consultant with vast experience in advising executives of leading companies in the energy, construction, mining & metals, and petrochemicals industries. Filipe's expertise includes corporate transformations, growth strategy, mergers & acquisitions, organization design, operations, and capital project origination, optimization, and delivery. Filipe founded the Capital Projects & Infrastructure Practice in McKinsey and served as its global leader for over a decade, making it one of the world's most preeminent capital project consultancies. Apart from serving multiple Houston non-profits, Filipe serves as a board member of the Construction Industry Institute (CII). Filipe holds a Doctorate in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, and he lives in Houston with his wife and three children.
