Filipe Areno is a highly accomplished corporate finance and M&A attorney with years of experience under his belt. He has worked on over 30 equity and debt securities offerings for both Latin American and U.S. clients, including those for Banco BTG Pactual, Ultrapar, Tarpon, and BR Malls, to mention a few. Filipe has also been involved in various M&As, such as Vale's $3.8 billion buyout of Bunge Limited's Brazilian fertilizer business and Apax's acquisition of a majority stake in TIVIT.

Aside from his impressive background, Filipe is regularly recognized as one of the most distinguished professionals in Latin America by various organizations, such as Chambers Latin America and Latinvex, which named him a "rising legal star."

Filipe completed his law degree from Universidade de São Paulo before earning his LLM in business from the University of Chicago Law School. He currently works as a partner for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates, where he previously served as counsel and associate. He also worked as an associate for Shearman & Sterling LLP.
