Filipa Reis

Filipa Reis holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Lisbon in collaboration with MIT Portugal Program and WS Energia S.A. Her doctoral research focused on the Development of Photovoltaic Systems with Concentration.

During her PhD, she acquired technical expertise in monitoring and modeling PV systems, studying ageing and degradation, characterizing PV cells, analyzing shadows' effects, and conducting thermal behavior studies using CFD-FEA.

Filipa supervised Bachelor and Master theses during her doctoral research, enhancing her teamwork, project management skills, and communication abilities. She also served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Lisbon and presented in international meetings.

She expanded her knowledge by attending the COHiTEC 2013 training program in technology commercialization, covering topics like Ideation, IP Patents, Financials, and Business Development.

With a background in Physics and Technology Engineering, Filipa previously worked as a Patent Examiner at Instituto Nacional de Propriedade Industrial (INPI) and currently holds the position of Technology Analyst in the Cleaner Energy sector at EDP Inovação.

Her educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Concentration Photovoltaic Systems from MIT Portugal and a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.

Filipa has held various roles in organizations like EDP Inovação, INPI, COHiTEC, and the University of Lisbon, contributing to Cleaner Energy initiatives, technology analysis, patent examination, and academic supervision.
