Sweta Devarajan is an ambitious and hardworking student studying at Rutgers University, double-majoring in Public Health and Exercise Science while also pursuing a certificate through the selective Leadership Scholars Program at the Institute of Women's Leadership. With a current GPA of 3.9, Sweta is a member of the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program.

Her passion for health equity, education, health journalism, and the connection between physical and mental well-being has driven her to actively participate in community organizing, presenting, and carrying out long-term plans for organizations. Sweta has gained experience working alongside multiple non-profits in the Central Jersey area and remains committed to promoting more interdependent relationships between universities and the communities in which they reside.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Sweta has worked with diverse and underserved populations such as the elderly, the mentally disabled, survivors of intimate partner violence, and racial subgroups. This has allowed her to hone her skills in providing exceptional care and understanding the cultural and mindset complexities specific to each group.

Sweta plans on pursuing a career path in physical therapy, global health, or community health promotion, and will use her skills in attaining a Doctor of Physical Therapy and/or Master of Public Health degree. She can be reached via email at swetadevarajan@gmail.com.
