- Building partnerships with community stakeholders and facilitating work in Kenosha County around kindergarten readiness and early grade reading through collaborative action networks and strategic support of partners to use data more effectively, implement continuous improvement strategies, and align their work to meet community goals. - Leading a team through StriveTogether's Equitable Results Series in partnership with the school district and public library, focused on early grade reading and changing systems to eliminate disparities across ethnic/racial groups. - Implementing and guiding the work of the Early Learning Nation Cohort in Kenosha County, led by StriveTogether and the Center for the Study of Social Policy. Selected to be one of six communities part of the cohort.

Manager of Birth to 8 Initiatives

- Leading and supporting partners in improving outcomes in kindergarten readiness and resource utilization for resources that support families with young children in Racine. - Cultivating partnerships to ensure sustainability for high-impact early childhood programs in Racine. - Supporting school district and childcare partners to explore strategies to improve attendance in their high-quality programs, which can drastically improve school readiness outcomes. - Leading the implementation of Bright by Text in Racine and Kenosha Counties, with the goal of connecting parents to high-quality child development information and local resources for their families.

Higher Expectations

At Bright by Three, we're working to provide a bright beginning for all children by helping families support their children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development during the critical first years of life. We do this through Bright by Text, which delivers bite-sized pieces of child development knowledge and tips to parents and caregivers, right when they need it. As a Senior Manager of National Scaling, I support our partners implementing Bright by Text in a collective impact model and build internal systems that allow us to strategically scale Bright by Text. Through these partnerships, we have brought Bright by Text to over 10,000 new subscribers in the first five months of our pilot, all in the hopes to make parenting and caring for a young child a tiny bit easier.

Playworks

Senior National Trainer

As a National Trainer, I trained educators on how to create a respectful, inclusive, and healthy recess, and then use that healthy recess as a tool to improve school climate. I worked with districts and individual schools in fourteen states, training hundreds of educators and impacting thousands of children. After initial training, I continued to consult with schools and their administrations on how to further their implementation plans and improve their recess so that every kid belongs. Playworks Training helps schools and youth organizations around the country create their own recess and afterschool programs through hands-on professional development workshops and collaborative consultation. Built on best practices in youth development, as well as our successes from our direct service program, we teach essential skills that transform playgrounds, and change lives.

National Trainer

I managed a team of 50 Corps Members to deliver literacy programming in seven low-income preschool classrooms, working toward the day every child in America enters Kindergarten prepared to succeed. I was responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training those Corps Members, and then managing for quality of our programming.  I worked to develop strong partnerships with university stakeholders, preschools, and community networks. I also managed site budget, developed and delivered training, maintained AmeriCorps compliance, and ensured quality assurance of program delivery. Jumpstart is where I realized and developed my passion for training and providing high-quality professional development. I believe a caring, intentional manager with a mind for professional development can make all the difference for a young person. My favorite part of being a Site Manager included mentoring Corps Members throughout their experience and working to inspire them towards a career in social change. Years later, I continue to maintain relationships with my students and love watching them make a difference - at organizations including Playworks, City Year, as public school teachers, and working in group homes.

As a Special Projects Fellow during my MBA program, I conducted research and synthesized into communications materials to support working group initiatives in the Youth Violence Prevention (YVP) Funder Learning Collaborative. This research helped make an impact for this network of private funders, public funders, content experts, and key stakeholders with a mission to share knowledge, identify funding gaps and promote dialogue to help funders strategically align their efforts to increase their impact on youth violence in Boston.
