Michelle Conceison is an accomplished artist manager, marketing expert, and professor of music business with a passion for education, innovation, and inquiry. With over two decades of experience in advertising, marketing, and music management, Michelle has developed a strong expertise in search marketing, digital media, and social media. She is the founder of Mmgt, a management, marketing, and promotion agency that delivers ongoing or project-based services to independent musicians and other creatives. As an Assistant Professor at Middle Tennessee State University, Michelle teaches undergraduate and graduate students in the Recording Industry department. Previously, Michelle worked as an Academic Specialist at Northeastern University, Vice President at Digitas, and Media Supervisor at Media Contacts. She has also served in various roles in affiliate marketing, traditional advertising, integrated marketing, and web development. Michelle is a board member of the International Bluegrass Music Association and the Chair of Diversity Equity and Inclusion Task Force. She is also a co-chair of Women In Music Nashville and the past President of Folk Alliance International.
