Walid Abou Zaki
Walid Abou Zaki is an accomplished individual with an excellent track record of working in various fields such as finance, investment, and telecommunications. With over 20 years of experience as a seasoned executive in the corporate world, he has gained a reputation for being a visionary leader, strategist, and entrepreneur. He is the Vice-Chairman and Partner of Middle East Venture Partners, a well-known Venture Capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies in the Middle East and North Africa region. Besides, he is also an adjunct professor at the American University of Beirut's business school, where he teaches Entrepreneurship and Private Equity courses.
Before joining Middle East Venture Partners, Walid was the Group CFO of Virgin Mobile Middle East and Africa, where he successfully led the company’s restructuring from a regional telecom operator to a digital service provider. He also held several leadership positions at Zain Group, a leading telecom company in the Middle East, where he managed the investor relations, corporate finance, and M&A functions.
Walid holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the American University of Beirut and an MBA in Finance from INSEAD.
